Eclss Engineer II at Axiom Space

Juan De La Garza is an accomplished engineer and board member with extensive experience in both the aerospace and engineering education sectors. Currently serving as an ECLSS Engineer II at Axiom Space, Juan takes responsibility for the Thermal Interface System between the Axiom Station and the ISS, while previously designing the water purification system for the oxygen generation test rig. As a board member of The David & Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund, Inc., Juan founded the Ambassador Program to mentor college-curious students from underrepresented communities. Juan's leadership and organizational skills are demonstrated through roles in various engineering teams and volunteer positions, including hosting the SpaceVision 2021 conference and managing NASA project fundraisers at SEDS Rice. Juan holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Rice University and has completed several internships, gaining comprehensive knowledge in project estimating and process control in the engineering domain.
