He has more than three and a half decades of experience in commercial and development banking in various facets of providing finance to MSMEs, Micro Creditors and Large Corporates. He served as Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI till February 2015 and was the Chief Executive Officer of the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). He has served as Director on the Boards of India SME Technology Services Ltd., SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd., SIDBI Trustee Company Ltd. and India SME Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd and MFIN.
He is an alumnus of St. Stephens College, Delhi and holds a Degree in Law from Delhi University. He is also a Postgraduate in Management from MDI and IIFT, besides being a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
