Robert van Dortmond is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment, mentorship, and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Accendo Capital Managers since January 2016, Robert is involved in activist equity investments in Northern European listed companies. Additionally, as Head of the International Mentor Team at One to Watch since January 2015, Robert bridges capital and expertise for entrepreneurs in Nepal and Myanmar. Robert also contributes to the Ayn Rand Institute Europe as an Advisory Board Member, promoting objectivism and awareness of Ayn Rand's works. With a background as a mentor at Rockstart, co-founder and board member at Clear Flight Solutions, and a coach in entrepreneurship at the University of Amsterdam Business School, Robert's influence extends to fostering startup innovation. Robert's prior roles include Consultant/Partner at Egon Zehnder and various management positions at Shell. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics from Delft University of Technology, training from the Stanford Executive Program, and study at the Objectivist Academic Centre.

Ayn Rand Institute

The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Irvine, California, works to introduce young people to Ayn Rand’s novels, to support scholarship and research based on her ideas, and to promote the principles of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and laissez-faire capitalism to the widest possible audience. The Institute is named for novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand (1905-1982), who is best known for her novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
