Azbil Corporation is engaged in the manufacture of automation equipment. It has four segments. The Building Automation (BA) segment offers network building automation systems, wide area management systems, actuators and control valves, as well as building and energy management, maintenance and consulting services. The Advanced Automation (AA) segment offers distributed control systems (DCSs), equipment diagnosis machinery, converters, sensors and switches, as well as maintenance and consultation services. The Life Automation (LA) segment offers city gas meters, liquefied petroleum (LP) gas meters, healthy and medical emergency notification services, nursing services and residential whole building air-conditioning systems. The Others segment is engaged in insurance agency business. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 69 subsidiaries and seven associated companies.
