Bertil Villard is a Board Member at Azelio. Prior to this, they were the Founder of the AI Sustainability Center from December 2018 to December 2020. Bertil has also served on the Board of Sweco from April 2017 to April 2022 and as Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability & Public Affairs Officer at Ericsson from March 1998 to February 2018. In December 2020, they joined the Board of European Sustainable Growth Acquisition Corp.
Bertil Villard has a double masters degree from BU's Graduate School in both International Relations and Resource and Environmental Management. Bertil also has a B.A. in Communication and Argumentation from Suffolk University.

Azelio
Azelio, a Swedish company with a unique Stirling-based system with thermal energy storage for dispatchable electricity production. The system has a storage capacity of 13 hours production at nominal power, scalable and cost-effective already from small installations. The initial target market is between 0.5 – 20 MW expanding into 100kW to 100MW, a segment that lacks cost-effective and sustainable alternatives. Azelio's solution adds value on a broad base to optimize for microgrid systems as load shift, distributed sustainable baseload or as an off-grid solar system with storage.
