Jim Mazzarella

Jim Mazzarella has over 30 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Jim (James) is currently working as the Vice President of Engineering at Azul 3D, Inc since January 2024. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Engineering, Lithography Business Unit at Onto Innovation from October 2022 to July 2023. From July 2020 to September 2022, Jim worked as an Engineering Group Lead at ASML. Jim (James) also has experience as the Vice President, Engineering at Makino from November 2019 to April 2020. Before that, they worked at GE Aviation as the CTO/Technology Manager for seven years from August 2012 to November 2019. Additionally, Jim has worked at Circle Optics, Inc. as an Engineering Specialist from October 2017 to September 2019. Jim (James) has also held roles at Eastman Kodak, University of Rochester - Laser Lab, Bausch + Lomb, and Pall Corporation earlier in their career.

Jim Mazzarella has pursued their education at the University of Rochester. Jim (James) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering. Following that, they completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Currently, Jim is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD - All But Dissertation) at the University of Rochester, specializing in Laser Damage in Optical Coatings and Glass.
