Juan Esteban Fernandez is a hardware engineer at Azul 3D, Inc., where responsibilities include designing and refining components for advanced 3D printer technology since June 2020. Previously, Juan served as a mechanical engineering intern, contributing to the production of over 10,000 3D printed face shields during the COVID-19 pandemic and creating a high precision focusing system for an optical projector. Prior experience includes an undergraduate research assistant position at General Motors, working on projects in the Northwestern University Tribology Lab, enhancing internal combustion engine performance. Additionally, Juan interned at Kaeser Compresores Centroamérica. Juan holds a degree from Northwestern University, graduated in 2021.
