Rubens Schaefer

Rubens Schaefer has an extensive background in aviation, currently serving as the Director of Flight Operations at Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras since May 2006. With various roles at Azul, including Gerente de Risco Operacional, Flight Safety Officer, Safety Director, and Captain, Rubens has demonstrated leadership in flight safety and operations management. Prior experience includes positions as Gerente Geral de Segurança Operacional and Gerente de Segurança de Voo at TRIP Linhas Aéreas S/A from 2007 to 2013. Educated at Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná with a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Sciences and Aviation Management, Rubens also furthered professional development at Fundação Dom Cabral from 2010 to 2011.
