Alexey Vladykin

Alexey Vladykin has worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Azul since October 2019. Prior to that, they worked at OpenWay Group from August 2010 to October 2019, where they held the roles of Key Developer, Architect, and Tech Lead. At OpenWay Group, they were responsible for integrating the WAY4 card processing system with other systems, participated in system architecture decisions, and led a team of Java developers. From September 2012 to September 2018, Alexey worked as a Lecturer at the Computer Science Center. Alexey also served as a Lecturer at Sankt-Peterburgskij Gosudarstvennyj Institut Tocnoj Mehaniki i Optiki (Tehniceskij Universitet) from September 2009 to June 2011. Earlier in their career, from April 2008 to July 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems. Alexey also worked as a QA Engineer at Sun Microsystems from June 2006 to April 2008.

Alexey Vladykin obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from ITMO University, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several certifications. Alexey completed the "Getting Started With CockroachDB Certificate of Completion" from Cockroach Labs in March 2021. In September 2019, they completed the "Lightbend Reactive Architecture: Advanced" and "Reactive Architecture Foundations" certifications from IBM. In November 2017, they obtained the "ICAgile Certified Professional" certification from ICAgile. Lastly, in January 2017, they received the "Oracle Certified Java 8 Programmer I (1Z0-808)" certification from Oracle.
