Nyagoy Nyong'o has extensive experience in leadership and consultancy within the fair trade sector. Serving as the Interim Global CEO at Fairtrade International from January 2021 to March 2022, Nyagoy previously held the position of Executive Director at Fairtrade Africa from December 2013 to December 2020. Prior roles include serving as Certification Coordinator and Certification Officer at the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) between May 2012 and December 2013, as well as working as an Independent Consultant in Fairtrade from January 2003 to April 2012. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Forestry from Iowa State University, obtained between August 1987 and January 1991.
