Laura Townsend

Laura Townsend is a skilled developer with extensive experience in software development, currently employed at B2C2 since March 2021. Prior to this role, Laura worked at IG from July 2014 to March 2021, progressing through various positions including Associate Developer and Graduate Trainee, contributing to the development of JavaScript trading applications and dynamic Market Analysis pages. Early career experience includes an Application Development Intern position at 4sight Financial Software, where Laura was involved in rewriting applications using C#/WPF, Java, and Oracle PL/SQL, as well as a summer internship as a Research Assistant at Heriot-Watt University, focusing on pervasive computing and developing a quiz application with Microsoft Kinect. Laura holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, completed in 2014.
