Bret Bero is an accomplished academic and business executive with extensive experience in management and strategic consulting. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Management Division at Babson College since August 2016, Bret teaches a range of courses including Strategy and Management Consulting, and was selected by the MBA graduating class to deliver the "Last Lecture" at commencement in 2021. Prior to academia, Bret founded and led ECHO Industries, Inc. as Owner and President from 1997 to 2019, alongside key leadership roles in various American Capital portfolio companies such as CEO of Halt Medical Inc., WIS International, and American Driveline Systems, as well as serving as Chairman at Fosbel Holdings Ltd. and Jones Stephens Corporation. Bret holds an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Middlebury College.
