Annemieke Kappert

Annemieke Kappert serves as the Vice President of Legal & Compliance at Backbase, leading the global Legal and Compliance team since July 2017. Previously, Annemieke held the position of Legal Director for Europe and APAC and worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Canon (Europe) from January 2012 to July 2017. Earlier experience includes roles at Kennedy Van der Laan as an Attorney at Law specializing in IP & Media law, and several positions in legal advisory and support at institutions such as VU University Amsterdam and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Annemieke holds multiple degrees, including an LLM in IP/ICT law from the University of Amsterdam and a Postgraduate Course in IT Law from Grotius Academie.
