David Shanagher

David Shanagher is a finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Controller at Backlight since September 2024, David previously held the position of Director of Accounting at Mosaic Group, the global mobile applications unit of IAC Inc. From 2016 to 2018, David was with Ryanair, progressing from Financial Accountant/Analyst to Senior Accounting Manager roles. Prior experience includes working as an Audit Senior in the Financial Services team at KPMG Ireland and as a Financial Analyst at Blackhawk Network. David began professional training at KPMG Deutschland as an intern. Educational qualifications include an ACA from Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Bachelor of Commerce International (with German) in Accounting from University College Dublin.
