Samuel Alberts

Samuel Alberts has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Samuel is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Test Engineer at Badger Meter since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Rockwell Automation for four years, first as a Senior Quality Engineer from February 2017 to October 2018, and then as a Senior Development Test Engineer from October 2018 to June 2021.

Before joining Rockwell Automation, Samuel worked at Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, InSinkErator Division as a Senior Development Engineer from May 2013 to February 2017. In this role, they managed the day-to-day operations of the Sound & Vibration lab and was responsible for continuous improvement and standardization of testing processes.

In addition to their industry experience, Samuel also served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee from August 2014 to January 2017, where they taught the ME-370: Computer Aided Engineering Laboratory course to Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students.

Samuel started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Rockwell Automation's Low Voltage Motor Control Center Development Engineering department from May 2011 to May 2013. Samuel was involved in mechanical component design, mechanical system design and testing, and played an integral technical role in the product development cycle.

During their time at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Samuel worked as a Lead Teaching Assistant for ME111: Engineering Fundamentals II from 2011 to 2013. Samuel was responsible for teaching design principles, project implementation, and providing technical guidance to teaching assistants.

Samuel's early experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Mechanical Engineering Department from January 2009 to May 2011.

Samuel Alberts received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Samuel later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, studying from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, in 2013, they briefly attended Purdue University, although no degree or field of study information is available for that period.
