Andy Read

Andy Read is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in mission systems assurance and ceramic manufacturing. Currently serving as Manager of Mission Systems Assurance at BAE Systems, Andy leads collaborative teams and leverages diverse engineering talent. Previous roles include Operations Manager at Enlighten Innovations, where Andy successfully scaled a solvent powder synthesis process, and Ceramic Manufacturing Development Manager at Ceramatec, managing proprietary membrane initiatives and government contracts. Andy's earlier experience includes manufacturing roles at Exelis and ITT, emphasizing quality assurance and process engineering in high-output environments. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in materials science and engineering and ceramic engineering, respectively, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
