Ellie Jobes has had a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ellie started their career at Leeds University Union, where they served as a Nightline Co-ordinator. Following that, they joined the Nightline Association and held the position of Treasurer and Trustee. In 2003, Ellie joined the NSPCC and took on various roles, including ChildLine Supervisor and Senior ChildLine Supervisor. Ellie also worked as a Quality & Standards Project Officer. Ellie's most recent position was at Bagnalls, where they started as a Management Development Co-ordinator and later became the HR Manager. Currently, they hold the role of HR Director and is responsible for HR, recruitment, retention, employee engagement, learning and development, and health and safety within the group of companies.
Ellie Jobes has an extensive educational background. Ellie attended Birkenhead High School from 1992 to 1999, where they completed their secondary education. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Leeds and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography, with a minor in Psychology, from 1999 to 2002. Ellie then pursued further studies at the University of Leeds and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Management & Leadership from 2004 to 2007.
Continuing their education, Ellie completed a CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management at Leeds City College from 2011 to 2012. Ellie furthered their expertise in this field by undertaking a CIPD Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management at MOL Learn from 2012 to 2014.
In 2018, Ellie attended both Leeds Beckett University and The University of Salford to pursue certifications. Ellie obtained an IoD Certificate in Company Direction from Leeds Beckett University and an IoD Diploma in Company Direction from The University of Salford.
Recently, Ellie Jobes has focused on acquiring practical qualifications related to compliance and risk management. Ellie completed a Diploma in Applied Health and Safety from NCRQ National Compliance and Risk Qualifications between 2020 and 2021. Additionally, they received several certifications from various institutions. These include Grad IOSH from IOSH in 2022, DipNCRQ from NCRQ National Compliance and Risk Qualifications in 2021, Chartered Manager from the Chartered Management Institute in 2019, MIoD from The Institute of Directors in 2019, and Dip IoD from The Institute of Directors in 2018.
