Alaa Qassab has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Outsourced IT Technician Support Engineer at Highland Consulting Group. In 2008, they joined American Express Middle East & North Africa as a LAN Support Engineer. At American Express Middle East and North Africa, they were responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure projects. In 2009, Alaa Qassab became an NPD & Retention Specialist at American Express Middle and was responsible for managing the Retention Strategy project. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Server Administrator at American Express - Middle East and North Africa, managing IT infrastructure projects and collaborating with both Business and IT teams. In 2014, they joined Bahrain Airport Company as a Manager – Data Center, where they led the creation and maintenance of ICT Infrastructure strategies and played a key role in cloud migration projects and IT procurement activities. Currently, Alaa Qassab holds the position of Head of IT Service Management and Operations at Bahrain Development Bank, starting in 2023. Alaa Qassab earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Management from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in the years 2004 to 2007. In 2003, Alaa obtained an English Certificate from the Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT). Later on, Alaa pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Strathclyde from 2017 to 2020. Alaa also holds several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, and various certifications related to AWS, Ansible, and other technologies.
