Lillian Li

Lillian Li is an accomplished investor with extensive experience in both private and public markets, currently serving as a Private and Public Market Investor at Baillie Gifford since July 2022, focusing on transformational companies with an emphasis on AI. Prior to this role, Lillian founded the highly successful Chinese Characteristics, a top-ranking global technology newsletter, from 2020 to June 2022. Lillian also co-founded Diversity VC in 2016 and worked as an Investor at Eight Roads and Salesforce Ventures, contributing to growth-stage investments and the establishment of Salesforce's venture operations in Europe. Earlier career experiences include roles at Beringea and L.E.K. Consulting, alongside a brief tenure as a Summer Analyst at The Boston Consulting Group. Lillian holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in International Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
