Scott Weisman started their career as an Associate at Collier Shannon Rill & Scott in 1998. Scott then worked as an Associate at Howrey LLP from 2000 to 2001 before joining the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as Assistant Director of the Asset Management Unit in their Division of Enforcement in 2001. In 2013, they left the SEC to join Bain Capital.
At Bain Capital, Weisman has served as Managing Director of the Financial Services Regulatory Practice since 2013. In this role, they provide compliance advice to Bain Capital portfolio companies and funds with respect to their regulatory obligations. Scott also serves on Bain Capital's Portfolio Company Oversight Committee and is a member of Bain Capital's Ethics & Compliance Committee.
Scott Weisman's educational career began at Shady Side Academy, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Scott then attended the American University Washington College of Law, earning their Doctor of Law (J.D.). Finally, they attended Georgetown University Law Center, where they earned their LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation.
