Alexander Starostin

Alexander Starostin is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mathematics and data science, currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Baker Hughes since March 2018, specializing in drilling services automation and embedded software development. Prior to this role, Alexander was a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Research Scientist at Schlumberger, focusing on the commercialization of algorithms and numerical methods for various applications. Previous experience includes working as a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Emerson, where Alexander contributed to drilling optimization and training initiatives, and as a Junior Research Associate at the Institute of Mechanics MSU, conducting research on computational fluid dynamics related to geophysical phenomena. Alexander holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics and Numerical Methods, as well as a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Fluid Mechanics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
