Troy Wangen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in unclaimed property compliance. Currently serving as Principal in the National Unclaimed Property Group at Baker Tilly Advisory Group LP since November 2022, Troy specializes in audit defense, risk assessment, voluntary disclosure agreements, gift card planning, and policy implementation. Active in the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO) since March 2013, Troy has held multiple leadership roles, including President, and was instrumental in launching a strategic plan to enhance member support. Prior to Baker Tilly, Troy held various positions at True Partners Consulting and Thomson Reuters, contributing to unclaimed property practices. Troy's career began at Deloitte & Touche LLP and includes an academic role as an Instructor of Accounting at the University of Mary, where Troy taught key accounting courses. Troy holds a BA in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Mary.
