Ramith P. has held various roles in the software engineering and machine learning fields since 2013. In 2013, they interned at Indian Bank. In 2014, they were a Software Development Intern at Goodbox. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Amazon in various roles, including Software Development Engineer, Software Development Engineer II, and Software Development Engineer Intern. In 2019, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science - Language Technologies Institute. Since 2020, they have been a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Machine Learning at Balbix, where they also held roles as Staff Software Engineer, Machine Learning and Sr. Software Engineer, Machine Learning. At Balbix, they work on problems ranging from Risk Estimation to NLP and Search.

Ramith P. received a Master of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Intelligent Information Systems, with an advisor of Prof. Jamie Callan, between 2018 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed a dual degree MSc.(Hons) & B.E.(Hons) at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, in Economics and Computer Science, between 2011 and 2016.
