Deedie Dowdle

Deedie Dowdle is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in higher education and various industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Ball State University since June 2022, Deedie previously held leadership positions at DePauw University and Miami University, where significant contributions were made to brand visibility and enrollment growth. At Auburn University, oversight of a successful team led to over 70 regional and national awards for innovative branding and marketing. Deedie's earlier career includes directional roles at Kennesaw State University and six years in marketing and public relations for major amusement parks, as well as tenure in public relations and advertising agencies, which laid a strong foundation in strategic planning and client management. Deedie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on Public Relations, English Literature, and Marketing from The University of Alabama.
