Robert Sulzer

Robert Sulzer has extensive work experience in the field of information security and systems engineering. Robert currently holds the position of Director of Information Security at Balto, where they are responsible for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Information Security. Robert ensures that policy development, employee awareness, and security architecture align with industry standards. Additionally, they conduct security consultations and effectively communicates complex issues with the security and development teams.

Prior to their current role, Sulzer worked as a Senior Application Security Engineer at Balto. Before joining Balto, they served as a Systems Engineer at ExtraHop and Onward Technology Solutions, where they gained experience in system engineering and technical account management.

Their career also includes positions at Uptake, Discover Financial Services, Textura Corporation, The Nerdery, IPsoft, and cleverbridge. In these roles, they specialized in systems administration, security application support, and Linux engineering.

Sulzer began their professional journey in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Corporal/E-4.

Throughout their career, Sulzer has demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing various systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and troubleshooting issues.

Robert Sulzer obtained a Certificate in Ethical Hacking from UW Professional & Continuing Education in 2022. Robert previously earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute-Mount Prospect between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, they hold additional certifications such as the Webroot WSAB Technical Certification for Partners from Webroot in 2017, the Small and Midsize Business Engineer Representative from Cisco in 2017, and the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco in 2013.
