Christian Michalek has extensive experience in the banking industry, primarily with UniCredit. Christian has held various leadership roles within the company, including Head of Retail Product Management and E2E Lending in UniCredit Bank Austria AG since 2020. Prior to this, they served as Head of Consumer Financing and Small Business CEE in UniCredit S.p.A from 2018 to 2020. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Head of Group Credit Risk Processes Methods & Standards at Uni Credit Group. Christian also served as the Head of CEE Credit Risk Retail at Uni Credit Bank Austria from 2011 to 2016 and held various positions at Bank Austria Creditanstalt from 2007 to 2010, including Head of Products Tolls and Processes for Retail and Corporate Risk CEE and Head of Credit Risk Controll 2.
Christian Michalek completed their education in business administration at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 1987 to 1995, obtaining a degree known as "Mag."
