Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and quantity surveying. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at the Bank of England since April 2009, Matthew oversees significant projects at the UK's central bank. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Senior Commercial Manager at 8build and spent nearly a decade as a Quantity Surveyor at Simons Group Ltd. Matthew began a career in quantity surveying as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor at Costain from 1994 to 1998. Educationally, Matthew holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Anglia Ruskin University and has foundational qualifications from South Essex College and Fitzwimarc.
