Andre de Haes

Andre de Haes is the founder of Backed VC, a community-driven seed venture capital fund based in London, dedicated to supporting ambitious tech founders since 2015. In addition to leading Backed VC, Andre serves on the board of several innovative organizations including Thought Machine, Flexciton, Garten, and Banked. Notably, Andre holds the position of Board Director at THIS and Jelly, as well as Board Observer at EnterpriseAlumni. As an angel investor, Andre has contributed to companies such as Butternut Box and Avant Arte. Academic credentials include an MBA from Stanford University, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School (which was interrupted to establish Backed VC), a BA in Philosophy and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and an affiliation with the MIT Media Lab.
