David J Costa has a diverse work experience in the banking and finance industry. David J is currently working at BankNewport as a VP, Manager, Specialized Lending & Portfolio Relationship Management, where they lead a team that supports commercial lending activities, including new customer acquisition, resolving issues, and managing credit approvals.

Prior to BankNewport, David worked at Santander Bank, N.A. where they held various roles. As the Director of Facilitation, Learning & Development, they oversaw a team of facilitators and managers, ensuring high-quality training for new hires and existing team members across multiple departments. Earlier, as the Facilitation Manager, they introduced new learning methodologies and improved training satisfaction ratings. David J also served as the Small Business Banking Sales Director, managing a team and collaborating with various internal and external partners to deliver on the company's sales strategy.

Before joining Santander Bank, David worked at Slade's Ferry Bank as a Commercial Lender, and at Textron Financial Corporation as a Franchise Program Manager. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in specialized lending, training and development, small business banking, and commercial lending.
