Brian Pember

Brian Pember is an experienced chaplain currently working at BaptistCare NSW & ACT since October 2017. Brian has a diverse background in community service and development, with roles including Executive Enthusiast at Illawarra Soup since April 2014, and Healthy Men Project Coordinator at Healthy Cities Illawarra from July 2012 to August 2017, where efforts focused on engaging disadvantaged men through voluntary work and health initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as a Pastor and Community Development Worker at Warilla North Baptist Church, a TAFE Teacher at Illawarra Institute of TAFE, and the Founder and Director of SCBC Assist Inc, a faith-based organization providing emergency relief. Brian also has a background in counseling, having worked as an Adolescent Counselor at Anglicare Wollongong and as a Youth Minister for the Anglican Youth Department. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Youth Ministry from Moore Theological College and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from TAFE NSW.
