Barber-Nichols
Alihossein Sepahvand has a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. Currently working as the Lead Power Electronics and Control Engineer at Barber-Nichols, Alihossein previously held positions at Texas Instruments and University of Colorado Boulder. With experience in designing high-frequency automotive LED drivers, high-efficiency inverters, and VHF-UHF DC-DC conversions, Alihossein also teaches courses on adjustable speed AC drives and analog IC design at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Barber-Nichols (BN) is located in Arvada, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. It was founded in 1966 by Bob Barber and Ken Nichols. BN specializes in the engineering design and production of turbomachinery; custom products include compressors, fans, pumps, turbines, generators, motors, and controllers for aerospace, cryogenic, defense, and energy applications. In addition to specialty hardware, BN also provides engineering consulting and contract manufacturing.
