Varun Mahajan

Varun Mahajan is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director and EMEA/Asia Head of Platform Development at Barclays since March 2024. Prior to this role, Varun held the position of Executive Director in Equity Derivatives Structuring at Goldman Sachs from January 2020 to February 2024. Varun also worked as Director of QIS Structuring at Société Générale for a brief period in mid-2019 and served as Director and Head of Equity & Hybrid Derivatives Structuring at Commerzbank AG from March 2008 to May 2019. Varun began a career in finance as an Analyst in Exotic Equity Derivatives Trading at Lehman Brothers from July 2006 to February 2008. Varun earned a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, between 2002 and 2006.
