Bard College
As Vice President for Institutional Planning and Research, Mark Halsey works to achieve the mission of the College in conjunction with the senior leadership of the College.
In particular, he coordinates planning and implementation of initiatives in concert with the Office of the Dean of the College, the Office of the CFO, and the Office of the VP for Administration. He has oversight of all institutional research activities and leads the Data Stewardship Council. Working closely with the CIO, he oversees the College’s IT operations. He is the College’s Accreditation Liaison Officer to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and coordinates all external reporting for the College.

From a 540-acre parklike campus in the Hudson River Valley, the College offers the bachelor of arts degree with concentrations in nearly 50 academic programs in four divisions: Arts; Languages and Literature; Science, Mathematics, and Computing; and Social Studies.
