Robert McGrail

Associate Professor Of Computer Science And Mathematics at Bard College

Robert McGrail is an accomplished academic and director with extensive expertise in automated deduction, data science, logic in computer science, and algebraic computing. As the Director of the Laboratory for Algebraic and Symbolic Computation since July 2007, Robert has led initiatives in symbolic and algebraic computing. At Bard College, Robert has served as an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics since September 1999, where Robert founded the Computer Science program and teaches subjects including algorithms, databases, and web programming. Robert also held a position as Visiting Associate Professor of Software Engineering at the American University of Central Asia in 2012. Robert holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics of Computation from Wesleyan University, a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Saint Joseph's College.
