Leanna Yu's work experience includes positions at various organizations. Leanna is currently working as a Digital Strategic Analyst at UCSF Rosenman Institute since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Strategic Communications & Engagement Associate at Activate from June 2022. Leanna also worked as a PartySafe@Cal Program Coordinator at UHS Tang Center from June 2022. In 2023, they served as a Fellow at the Fung Fellowship at UC Berkeley and as the External Vice President at Cal Undergraduate Public Health Coalition. Leanna also held the position of Executive Director, Marketing at BARE Magazine starting from March 2023. Before these roles, they gained experience through the Virtual Student Federal Service at the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro as well as serving as a San Mateo County Youth Health Ambassador at StarVista. Leanna also served as the Director of Mills Mental Health Advancement Initiative at the County of San Mateo and as an Executive Organizer for TEDxMillsHighSchool at TED Conferences.
Leanna Yu attended Mills High School from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health and Data Science Minor, along with a Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation at the University of California, Berkeley.

BARE Magazine is UC Berkeley’s premier arts, fashion, and lifestyle publication. Since the magazine’s debut in 2007, BARE has gained prominence on campus as well as national coverage in publications such as The New York Times and Teen Vogue. BARE publishes an all-color print publication once a semester, as well as the highly popular BARE blog, which receives over 19,000 unique readers monthly and was nominated for the Best Blogger award in the 2009 San Francisco Fashion Awards. The emerging pool of talent at UC Berkeley is something BARE takes immense pride in—the platform is entirely student-run and produced.
