Jon Flatman is currently serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Barnsley FC since January 2023. Prior to this role, Jon held the position of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at the same company. From October 2016 to January 2022, Jon served as the Chairman of York RLFC. Jon is also known as the Chairman and Owner of York City Knights RLFC. Jon holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Hull.

Barnsley Football Club is a professional football club based in the town of Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Nicknamed the Reds or Tykes, they were founded in 1887 under the name Barnsley St. Peter's by Reverend Tiverton Preedy. The club play in the English Football League, wearing red and white, and their home ground since 1888 has been Oakwell. The club has experienced great success over the years, winning the FA Cup back in 1912 and most recently winning the 2016 League One play-off final at Wembley. In addition, Barnsley FC Community Trust is the club's charity operation working to raise educational standards and engage with young people using the attraction of football.
