Chris Nyoni is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in geotechnical management and engineering within the mining sector. Currently serving as the Geotechnical Manager for Barrick Gold Corporation since October 2012, Chris leads the Geotechnical Departments and oversees operational issues at the Bulyanhulu and North Mara Gold Mines in Tanzania. Previous roles include Underground Technical Services Manager at Loulo Mines and Lead Geotechnical Engineer, where Chris contributed to the implementation of mechanised and automated mining methods. Prior experience includes positions as a Rock Engineer at Lonmin Platinum, Geotechnical Engineer at SRK Consulting Engineers and Scientists, Research Geotechnical Engineer at Wits University, and Graduate Mining Engineer at Impala Platinum.
