Mel Gray

Mel Gray is the current assistant managing editor at Barron's. Prior to this, they were with Newsday Media Group from March 2017 to November 2019 where they served as senior assistant managing editor overseeing daily breaking news coverage. From November 2013 to March 2017, Mel was with The Wall Street Journal as section chief/Greater New York where they oversaw four news editors, two columnists and one reporter. Mel is a skilled editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy and fairness in reporting. Mel is also an expert in using social media to build audiences and report stories.

Mel Gray's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in journalism and political science.
