Diarmuid McCoy

Diarmuid McCoy is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in pain medicine and education. Currently serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Deakin University Medical School and University College Hospital Geelong since September 2009, McCoy is also a faculty member at the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthesia since August 2016. As the Director and Consultant at Pain Matrix since February 2013, McCoy has further established expertise in the field. A Specialist Pain Medicine Physician at Barwon Health since May 2004, McCoy has held the role of Clinical Director of the Pain Management Unit. Previous roles include Consultant Pain Medicine Physician at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust from February 2002 to March 2004 and Senior Fellow at Flinders University from January 2000 to September 2001. McCoy earned an MB BCh BAO degree in Medicine from University College Cork between 1986 and 1991 and holds fellowship from the Faculty of Anaesthesia at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
