Robert Decarreau is an experienced engineer with a robust background in software and electrical engineering. Currently serving as an Engineer at Base Power Company since March 2024, Robert is focused on building the distributed power plant of the future. Previously, Robert held the role of Principal Software Engineer at NI (National Instruments) from March 2019 to March 2024, where contributions were made to transform automotive product development. Prior to that, Robert worked at Tesla from October 2015 to March 2019 as a Senior Software Development Engineer and Senior Test System Architect, enhancing test systems infrastructure for global production scaling. Robert began career at CERTON, from September 2011 to October 2015, developing test platforms for aviation and medical devices. Early roles include an Engineering Technician at MC Assembly and an Engineering Intern at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution, where a digital control system for an underwater ROV was designed. Robert earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.
