Luis Alberto Cruz has had a diverse range of work experiences. Luis Alberto started their career at Cencosud in 1995 as a CTO and remained there until 2003. Then, they joined Etek in 2005 as an IT & Services Manager, and stayed with the company until 2008. Finally, they founded BASE4 Security in 2008 and currently serves as the President & CEO.

Luis Alberto Cruz has a diverse education history. Luis Alberto attended Escuela Nacional Comercio Marcos Juárez from 1978 to 1982, where they completed their secondary education. Luis Alberto then enrolled at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, studying Information Systems Engineering from 1984 to 1994. Later, in 2000 to 2001, Luis pursued a post-graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Universidad de Palermo. Luis also earned certifications in Information Security Management (CISM) from ISACA in 2006, and in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) in 2008. Additionally, from 2005 to 2010, they participated in a program called Vistage, focused on the worldwide organization of CEOs.
