Geraldene Munsamy

Geraldene Munsamy is a highly experienced Senior Deep Learning Scientist at Basecamp Research since November 2021, previously serving as a Protein Machine Learning Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, where deep learning techniques were applied to super-resolution image data and protein structure prediction. Munsamy has also worked as a Data Scientist at SovTech, developing interactive tutorials and technical documentation, and as a Research Fellow at the University of Zululand, focusing on molecular dynamic simulations related to Schistosomiasis. Munsamy completed a PhD investigating aspartic proteases at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, following a Master's degree in Computational Chemistry from the same institution.
