Andrey Chaplygin has worked in various software engineering and research roles throughout their career. Andrey currently works as a Software Engineer at Basemark, starting in April 2022. Before that, they worked at the Marchuk Institute of Numerical Mathematics as a Researcher from September 2015 to October 2022. In that position, they developed software architecture for a climate model project. From October 2019 to April 2022, Andrey worked as a Software Developer at Rock Flow Dynamics. Prior to that, they worked at Schlumberger from December 2016 to February 2019 in research and development. Andrey also has experience as a Software Developer at the Geometric Modeling and Interactive Systems Research Group from March 2015 to November 2016.
Andrey Chaplygin completed a PhD at the Marchuk Institute of Numerical Mathematics from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between 2017 and 2019. Andrey also earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the same university from 2013 to 2017.
