Brendan Roberts is an accomplished research scientist and engineering professional with extensive experience in ecological science and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as the Airborne Operations Lab Manager and Principal Research Scientist at Battelle since October 2018, Brendan leads engineering efforts focusing on multi-level ecological systems and sensor design. Previous roles include Systems Integration Engineer Lead at NEON, Inc., where Brendan managed testing and validation for instrumentation systems across 47 ecological observatory sites, and Graduate Research Assistant at Chu Research Group, where successful solo operation of LIDAR systems was achieved at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
