batyr is a preventative youth mental health organisation, created by young people, for young people. Through lived experience storytelling, batyr shares mental health stories that inspire action, reaching young people early and often with the tools they need to look after themselves and each other before a crisis. batyr has a passionate and growing network of over 1,400 young storytellers who bravely share their lived experiences with thousands of young people across the country every year. batyr are experts in prevention with evidence-based proof of their impact since 2011. We are leading providers of mental health education in Australian Schools and Universities. Measuring the impact of their work is a key part of how batyr ensures its programs deliver meaningful outcomes for young people. Post-program surveys and regular impact evaluations, including collaborations with academic partners, help batyr understand what’s working, and how to strengthen its impact.
