Spencer Bolles

Director of Information Technology at Bay Area Community Resources (BACR)

Spencer Bolles received a BA in Philosophy, started his career as a mental health caseworker, and received a master’s degree from UC Berkeley in Administrative Social Welfare in 1997. After administering databases for BACR starting in 2003, he made the leap as an accidental techie database manager to founding and directing the agency’s technology department in partnership with an excellent managed service provider. As an early adopter of Salesforce.com many custom solutions have evolved in partnership with a skilled developer, contributing to the success of the agency. Seeing a need for improved information and network security, Spencer obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2016.
