David Stiepleman

Board Member at Bay FC

David Stiepleman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law and leadership. As a co-founder and co-president of Sixth Street since June 2010, David has played a pivotal role in the organization. Currently, David serves on the board of Bay FC and as an advisor at Westbound Equity Partners, both roles initiated in 2023 and 2019, respectively. In academia, David holds positions as an adjunct professor at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, while also contributing as a writing tutor at Mount Tamalpais College. Prior legal experience includes roles at Fortress Investment Group, Goldman Sachs, and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. David earned a bachelor's degree in French and Political Science from Amherst College and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School.
