Alix Berton

Alix Berton currently serves as Vice President and Head of Translational Sciences for Cardiovascular Renal Immunology at Bayer since July 2022. In addition, Alix has been a Scientific Expert Evaluator for the European Commission since March 2014. Prior to the role at Bayer, Alix held various senior positions at AstraZeneca from July 2015 to July 2022, including Senior Director of Precision Medicine Discovery & Development in the Respiratory division. Alix's career also includes significant roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck Serono, and academic positions at Hopital Erasme - ULB and de Duve Institute. Alix earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne between 1997 and 2000.
