BayoTech On-Site Hydrogen
Velu Subramani is a highly accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in catalysis, hydrogen production, and process technology. As a Principal Engineer at BayoTech On-Site Hydrogen since April 2021, Velu has led the R&D and pilot plant testing of innovative structured Steam Methane Reforming catalysts and managed collaborative projects on catalyst scale-up for clean hydrogen production. Prior to this, Velu worked at bp from October 2007 to January 2021, focusing on low-carbon fuels and developing advanced catalytic and adsorption technologies for refinery applications. Velu's career began at RTI International, where as a Research Scientist and Catalysis Team Lead, numerous successful projects were developed that resulted in commercialization and patents. Velu holds a Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis, Materials Engineering, and Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and was a Research Associate at Penn State University.
