Russ Connell

Russ Connell currently serves as the Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs at Bayside Academy since July 2023. Prior to this role, Russ Connell spent nearly two decades at The Donoho School, where responsibilities included directing the middle and upper school, overseeing curriculum development, and providing professional development for faculty. With a strong focus on student-centered practices, Russ Connell has significantly contributed to various initiatives, such as the establishment of a seventh-grade academic scholarship program and the creation of a mentorship and transition program for new hires. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt Peabody College, a Master of Education in Secondary English/Language Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Auburn University.
